Anti-Depressant/Anti-Anxiety

Anti-Depressant/Anti-Anxiety medicine is a psychiatric medication used for alleviating major depression or dysthymia. These medications are now among the drugs most commonly prescribed by psychiatrists and other physicians. Despite the name, anti-depressants are often used in the treatment of other conditions, including anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, chronic pain, mood disorders, and dysmenorrhea and other hormone-mediated conditions. Antidepressants can often cause side effects, and an inability to tolerate these is the most common cause of discontinuing an otherwise working medication.
